About the Role

The HPS Manager will lead the implementation and administering of the HPS-Model driving a culture of Continuous Improvement in order to improve the entire manufacturing operation performance, including but not limited to: production, engineering, quality, logistics, materials, AME, new product introduction, HR and other support functions.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the HPS organization and interact directly with senior leaders, both internally and externally.
  • Set the manufacturing site HPS strategic direction and roadmap aligned to global strategy and execute on critical projects.
  • Provide strategic direction and mentoring to local leaders and HPS teams.
  • Establish, apply, and maintain a common HPS-Model across the manufacturing site ecosystem (logistics, materials, AME, new product introduction, HR and other support functions) based on the global standard.
  • Set-up and enforce standardization of HPS related methods, processes, procedures and tools in the manufacturing site (i.e. Standardized Work including the development of Work Balance, STW Chart, Work Combination Table etc.)
  • Plan, initiate and coordinate Kaizen and Productivity/Cost Improvement workshops aligned to manufacturing sites strategy and targets.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing organization to drive continual improvement in all aspects of manufacturing through advanced methodologies and processes.
  • Plan and execute HPS maturity assessments/audits in the manufacturing site.
  • Attract, lead, coach, develop and retaining high-performance and competent HPS team.
  • Deploy and drive a best-in-class operational excellence culture based on HPS understanding, industry experience and insights into future direction
  • Be in charge of the Certification Program for Team Leaders.
  • Authorized and Update documents and standards that belong to the HPS department.
  • Keep the 5S’s standards and KPI updated.
  • Plan budget and manages costs related to operational excellence initiatives
  • Participates and provides support related with quality and EHSS systems management, objectives, targets and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management system

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, B.A., B.S.) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience related to continuous improvement or similar project management.
  • Proven track record in Lean manufacturing deployment and success in implementation of redesigned processes
  • Knowledge of lean concepts including Toyota Production System principles required
  • Problem Solving experience
  • Bilingual: Spanish- English
  • Background in manufacturing and/or engineering environments
  • Background in people management and project management
  • Specific Skills: MS Office, Outlook, SAP, Minitab
