Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end design of Cheddar’s mobile and web experiences, from research to final UI execution.
  • Design intuitive, high-converting user journeys that drive engagement and retention.
  • Translate complex fintech data and financial insights into seamless, accessible interfaces.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and growth teams to align design decisions with business goals.
  • Own and evolve our design system in Figma for a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • Conduct user research, A/B testing, and iterative design improvements based on feedback and data.
  • Stay ahead of fintech and UX/UI trends to continuously innovate our product.
  • Not only make a design that delights, but also consider implementation by the development team, with an understanding of common hurdles of mobile and web development.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of UX/UI experience, ideally in a high-growth B2C app environment.

  • Proven ability to design and ship world-class mobile and web experiences.

  • Expertise in Figma and a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design.

  • Experience in fintech, especially open banking or personal finance apps, is a plus.

  • A deep understanding of UX best practices, usability testing, and conversion optimisation.

  • Strong collaboration skills – ability to work with product managers, engineers, and marketers.

  • Based in London or surrounding areas with the ability to work in a hybrid setting.
