The Senior Innovation Commercial Manager is responsible for creation and execution of the commercial strategy across retail accounts to deliver the Meals 3Y innovation targets - ensuring the right level of collaboration & communication between marketing, sales, category development and the rest of the commercial team.
What you'll do
Build and deliver the Innovation annual plan through sales: As part of the Commercial Category team ensure delivery of the current year plan through key forums, including:
3 Year Plan & 1 Year Plan: Work with the sales and marketing teams on the innovation bottom-up planning process from situational assessment/ideation through to signing off 3Y and 1Y plans compatible with the business strategy and targets.
Convert Brand & Category Opportunities into selling stories: Working closely with Marketing and Category Development, build the commercial plan for NPD - assumptions on cost price, margin and distribution targets by customer and channel and engage the sales teams in executional delivery of the plan.
Account management: be aware and involved in the d2d routines of the commercial team, with deep understating of full Meals promo plans, customer priorities and JBP negotiations to enable smooth integration of innovation projects into the d2d business and negotiations.
Inspire and engage others: Engage and inspire category NAMs and wider Category & Customer teams in delivery of all elements of the plan.

- Tracking and understanding of performance drivers across all Meals Innovations
- Ensure innovation is supported in market through the right promotional activation and JBP agreements to help deliver both in year and longer term category goals.
- Management of innovation risks and opportunities - ensuring up to date, evaluated and aligned with category strategy ahead of Category performance reviews. Manage and track subsequent implementation.
- Coordination of bi-weekly and quarterly meetings with National Account Managers to ensure engagement and communication of innovation strategy and execution.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment on go-to-market plans and execution focus.
- Foster a test & learn mindset and cross-pollinate best-practice & insights across accounts to make sure the meals innovation is supported in the right way.

- Contributor to the direction of the over-all Commercial Category Planning and broader sales team function.
What you'll need
- Experience in an FMCG commercial environment
- Experience in innovation and driving successful go-to market plans
- A highly numerate and strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market, category and financial data to identify key trends and recommend creative solutions
- Proven track record of problem solving as an owner, taking on entrepreneurial challenges and simplifying the complex
- Strong Project Management skillset; ability to demonstrate strong influencing and stakeholder development skills
- Effective analytical, presentation, and communication skills
- Highly organised with good planning skills and the ability to manage cross functional category projects both within and outside of the company.
