We’re a security-focused technology company seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen and scale our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will report to the Head of DevOps, working closely with them to design, automate, and manage secure, high-performing systems that support our development, QA, and security teams.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll help drive the growth of our multi-organisation AWS environment, improve CI/CD pipelines, and champion best practices in observability, automation, and compliance (particularly PCI-DSS). You’ll also collaborate closely with IT and Security teams to ensure robust networking, access control, and overall platform security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the Head of DevOps to design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Manage and optimise cloud environments on AWS (ECS, EC2, Lambda, SQS/DLQ, CloudWatch, CodeDeploy, IAM, etc.).
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Workflows) for application and mobile deployments.
  • Partner closely with QA to integrate testing and validation within build and release pipelines.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting frameworks for full observability.
  • Collaborate with Security and IT on infrastructure, networking, and access management initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining PCI-DSS compliance and support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 initiatives.
  • Contribute as an engineer to multi-account AWS Organisation design and ongoing operations.
  • Contribute to multi-cloud strategy discussions (Azure, GCP).
  • Contribute to improving DevOps practices through automation, documentation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, EC2, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, CodeDeploy, IAM, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Proven experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Workflows preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
  • Experience collaborating with QA and Security teams in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and cloud security best practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience with PCI DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
  • Coding or scripting experience (any language; Rust a plus)
  • Experience with AWS security management, Microsoft Defender, or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • General IT infrastructure knowledge (networking, identity management, VPNs, endpoint security, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Atlantis or Platform tools to automate Terraform deployments

Benefits
  • Salary: £68,000+ DOE
  • Flexible working hours and ability to work abroad
  • Opportunity to help shape infrastructure strategy during AWS multi-org expansion.
  • Collaborative, security-first engineering culture.
  • Professional development and certification support.
  • 28 days holiday + local bank holidays
  • Private Medical insurance + cover for dependants (Vitality)
