1nhaler, an Edinburgh-based startup developing single-use drug delivery technology, announced a £1.5 million round of seed funding, equal to about $1.9 million. The raise was led by Archangels and will help the company advance its solution.
The company’s flagship product is a pop-up cardboard dry powder inhaler. The device is the size of a credit card when collapsed, and its membrane-based system unfolds into a tube for patient use. It is comprised of eco-friendly materials.
This new capital raise will help 1nhaler pursue its first marketing authorization application by late 2027. The company has already established manufacturing partnerships with Upperton for clinical manufacture and Harro Höfliger for large-scale manufacturing process development.
