Nami Surgical, a surgery tech company based in Glasgow, recently closed on a £1.9 million funding round led by Eos Advisory. The move coincides with the appointment of Nikki Palfrey as its new CEO. The company develops miniaturized ultrasonic scalpels designed for integration into articulated, wristed surgical robots.

Prior to taking on her new position, Palfrey served as a non-executive director at Nami Surgical starting in 2023. She has over two decades of experience in the medtech sector, having led companies including Summit Medical and BOWA Medical UK.

Backed by its new capital and under the guidance of new leadership, Nami Surgical will progress its robotic-assisted surgery technology beyond advanced development into the commercialization phase. Palfrey will oversee commercial strategy and partner engagement as the company prepares to enter the market.
