We're looking for a Data Business Analyst to join CI&T on a 6 month contract, this role will require you to be in Manchester, 3 days a week on client site. 

This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to define requirements, translate business needs into actionable deliverables, and support data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and requirements.
Elicit, analyse, and document business and data requirements.
Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Data Engineers, and Analysts to support delivery.
Facilitate workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
Support backlog refinement and prioritisation activities.
Ensure requirements are clearly communicated and understood across delivery teams.
Assist with data analysis and validation to support business decision-making.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimisation.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within data-focused projects.
Experience working alongside Product Managers or within product-led delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
Experience writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to query and analyse data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience

Experience working with data warehouses, reporting platforms, or analytics solutions.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
Experience supporting digital product development and enhancement initiatives.
Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
Experience in the financial sector
