Role Description

At Dropbox, we're not just paying the bills — we're transforming how we operate through innovation, automation, and smart collaboration. We're looking for a Global Accounts Payable Lead to join our dynamic Procure to Pay (P2P) team and help shape the future of our finance operations. If you're excited by the idea of combining financial rigor with process optimization, emerging technologies, and global collaboration — this is your stage.

This isn’t your typical Accounts Payable (AP) role. Whilst you'll own the essential responsibilities of day-to-day invoice and payment processing global function, your impact will go far beyond traditional operations. You’ll have the space and support to re-imagine how AP is done — using tools like AI, automation, and data insights to drive meaningful improvements across systems, compliance, and scale.

We’re looking for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, can spot opportunities for optimization a mile away, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to make it happen.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Global Accounts Payable function, responsible for the global AP life cycle across NAMER/EMEA/APAC, from timely invoice processing to global payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls, tax rules, and banking standards.
  • Build, mentor, and lead the AP team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement AP policies, processes, and controls that support scalability, efficiency, and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce friction, and lead efforts to implement smarter systems or automation.
  • Partner with Procurement, FP&A, Tax, ITS, Treasury, Accounting and other cross-functional teams to align AP operations with broader business goals and financial strategies.
  • Ownership of AP compliance across multiple tiers e.g. SOX, 1099 reporting, local reporting requirements.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to AP, including reconciliations and audit support.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of AP experience in a high-volume, global, tech-savvy environment
  • People management experience with multiple direct reports and proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, large/small groups and one-on-one
  • Flawless attention to detail, paired with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • An analytical mindset with a passion for optimizing processes and leveraging technology to drive scale
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, and energized by the chance to build and improve system
  • Working knowledge of internal controls, compliance practices, and finance operations best practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Administration, or Finance
