What you'll do

As an Acquisition Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies and briefs that support key business priorities. Working within the Home Buying and Customer Borrowing team of Retail Bank Marketing, you’ll lead the delivery of marketing activity in line with acquisition goals across all priority segments, while contributing to the overall planning process across the Marketing team. You’ll also build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Marketing function and the wider business.

In this role, we’ll expect you to deliver marketing initiatives that support the overall customer borrowing strategy, working closely with teams across Marketing and the wider business stakeholders to execute campaigns that meet defined objectives. You’ll be accountable for end-to-end campaign briefing and delivery, identifying risks and mitigating them to ensure smooth execution. Moreover, you’ll support the optimisation of live campaigns, helping to drive continuous improvement.

In addition, you’ll be:

  • Delivering against the brief at every stage of the campaign lifecycle

  • Managing all campaign deliverables end-to-end, ensuring activity is delivered to brief, and coordinating distribution and sign-off for all campaigns

  • Managing and tracking marketing campaign budgets, making sure targets are met and spend is monitored and recorded accurately

  • Working closely with colleagues across Marketing to ensure all messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the bank’s wider agenda

  • Leveraging our strategic partnerships to make sure that our brief development, marketing planning, and delivery management reflect leading thinking and best practices

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in marketing, with experience in planning and delivering campaigns and an understanding of how to optimise marketing activity, especially across digital channels. You’ll need to bring fresh thinking and creativity to your work, collaborating closely with colleagues to plan and deliver impactful campaigns that engage customers in the most effective way.

To succeed in this role, you’ll also need the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Experience delivering campaigns across multiple paid media channels is essential, along with a solid understanding of how to optimise campaign assets for different media channels such as programmatic, display, paid social, and the like.

In addition, you’ll need:

  • Experience managing campaign approvals with compliance and legal teams
  • A collaborative approach to working with marketing teams and building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proven budget management experience
  • Experience with or willingness to learn and adopt agile ways of working
