Work with business users to identify and translate problems into AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, agents, Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Azure. Lead discovery, design, prototype, testing, deployment support, documentation, and knowledge transfer while ensuring solutions meet security, privacy, and government technology standards.
Role Description:
- Manitoba is seeking an AI Solution Architect resource to
work with business areas to identify opportunities where artificial
intelligence, automation, and agent-based solutions can improve service
delivery, reduce manual effort, or support better decision-making. The resource
will be expected to engage directly with business users to understand needs,
document requirements in plain language, assess whether AI is an appropriate
solution, and design, build, test, and support practical solutions that meet Manitoba’s
operational, privacy, security, and technology standards.
- The resource should have experience translating business
problems into working AI-enabled solutions, with most solutions expected to be
developed using Microsoft Copilot Studio, agents, and related Microsoft 365 and
Azure capabilities. The resource will be responsible for moving solutions from
concept through implementation, including discovery, solution design, prototype
development, user feedback, testing, documentation, deployment support, and
knowledge transfer to Manitoba staff.

Manitoba’s security, privacy, architecture, and technology teams to ensure
solutions are secure, appropriate for government use, and aligned with
applicable policies and standards. This includes identifying risks, supporting
security reviews, following approved development and deployment practices, and
ensuring that solutions are designed with appropriate access controls, data
handling, auditability, and operational support considerations.
- Experience with Microsoft Foundry, Claude Code or other
agentic development tools, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, Azure AI
services, Power Platform, and modern software development practices would be
considered beneficial. The resource should be comfortable working in an
emerging technology environment where requirements may evolve and should be
able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

demonstrations, user testing, or adoption activities with business areas and
technical teams.
- Experience integrating solutions with Microsoft 365, Power
Platform, Azure services, enterprise data sources, APIs, or other business
systems.
- Experience producing clear solution documentation, including
requirements, design decisions, testing results, deployment notes, user
guidance, and knowledge transfer materials.

Context Protocol (MCP) servers or similar patterns for securely connecting AI
agents to tools, systems, and data sources.
- Experience with Power Platform components, including Power
Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, custom connectors, and environment governance.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications related to Azure, AI,
Power Platform, security, or solution architecture would be considered an
asset, but are not required.
