We are seeking an Alternatives Product Marketing Manager to position Franklin Templeton’s alternative investment capabilities across retail and wealth channels in focus countries within EMEA. As part of the global marketing team you will collaborate daily with country marketing teams, sales, functional centers of excellence and product strategy to drive business growth.

You will research competitive trends in marketing, develop and manage content with specialized investment managers across real estate, private credit, private equity, hedged strategies, and venture capital while also helping design and implement promotional initiatives related to those strategies. Your time will be split between content development and activation/promotional marketing.

Success in the role requires a strong understanding of private markets and the proven ability to create compelling content and engaging promotional plans. You must be a credible source of alternative investment related content and have a thorough understanding of all content available and necessary to sucessfully distribute available private market strategies.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

  • Develop messaging that positions Franklin Templeton’s Alternative strategies and products as investment solutions which can help address the needs of clients within the retail and wealth channels.

  • Develop and manage product collateral (pitchbooks, product profiles, fact sheets, web, etc.) in collaboration with product specialists, product strategy, and sales supporting both registered and private funds.

  • Work with marketing operations to assure that all content is updated accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Ensure content for relevant strategies, asset classes and managers is consistent, compelling and up-to-date.

  • Obtain intimate knowledge of the investment philosophy and process of each strategy supported – including detailed understanding of current investment themes within the portfolio, knowledge of portfolio holdings, risk attributes of the strategy, past and current positioning of the portfolio, near-term outlook for the strategy and performance attribution in order to develop clear, consistent and pertinent collateral supporting solutions for challenges of retail and wealth clients.

  • Collaborate with country marketing teams, global alternatives marketing team members and centers of excellence to develop and deploy a marketing program that accomplishes key awareness, engagement and lead generation objectives.

  • Liaise with Product teams, Compliance, and other departments to ensure content alignment and address potential issues.

  • Apply creative thinking to market complex alternative investment strategies and adapt quickly to evolving business needs.

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for the regional alternatives sales head for activation and implementation of key events, initiatives and campaigns.

  • Identify and share best practices both from other regions and with other regions.

  • Proofread and conduct quality assurance of electronic and print materials.

  • Execute other projects and special marketing assignments, as necessary.

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?Experience & Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of alternative investments, including private credit, private real estate, and private equity, with demonstrated success in messaging and content development for private markets and within the retail and/or wealth channels.

  • Experience in asset management or wealth management, preferably in alternatives product marketing or specialist roles.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Strong messaging and content development expertise, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative and strategic thinker, able to turn complex concepts into compelling messaging for various audiences.

  • Highly organized with the ability to develop marketing plans aligned with key business objectives and execute them effectively.

  • Builds relationships through effective collaboration and strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
