About this opportunity

We’re looking for a specialist AI Lead to drive the transformation of Group Corporate Affairs (GCA), embedding AI, agents, and automation to reimagine how we work.

You will cut through complexity to make AI accessible and actionable for a communications function. You will set a clear vision for how AI transforms Corporate Affairs and use strong storytelling and strategic leadership to bring the function with you and accelerate important change.

You will bring hands-on experience across the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Power Apps and Copilot Studio, and a strong track record of delivering AI-enabled automation. You will turn complex technical capability into practical, scalable solutions using low-code tools, while influencing more advanced, enterprise-level AI development with central teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and lead the AI strategy for GCA, defining how AI, agents, and automation transform workflows, capability, and impact.

  • Design and deliver practical AI solutions, working with Platform, Digital, BMX, and CDAO to implement tools that drive measurable value.

  • Lead and manage 1x direct report (AI Manager) as well as guiding 15-20 curious and proactive self-starters to drive momentum across GCA.

  • Drive adoption and embed AI into ways of working, removing barriers and ensuring teams can confidently use new capabilities day to day.

  • Lead education and upskilling, building AI literacy across Corporate Affairs through structured programmes and practical use cases.

  • Translate complex technology into clear, actionable guidance, making AI accessible and relevant for a communications function.

  • Align stakeholders and lead change, bringing senior leaders and teams with you through clear storytelling, engagement, and delivery.

  • Continuously improve and optimise, using data and insight to track impact, refine approaches, and scale what works.

  • Bring external perspective, ensuring GCA remains at the forefront of AI adoption and thought leadership.

What Success Looks Like

  • A clear, actionable AI strategy aligned to business priorities and regularly reviewed.

  • Deployment of new AI agents delivering measurable improvements in process efficiency or content quality.

  • Clear collaboration and hand-offs with Digital, BMX, and other teams, with defined ownership boundaries.

  • Measurable improvements in efficiency, workflow automation, and adoption.

  • High and sustained levels of adoption, with clear metrics demonstrating usage and impact.

  • Strong AI capability across Corporate Affairs, with AI embedded in day-to-day operations.

  • Demonstrable improvement in AI literacy and confidence through structured upskilling programmes.

  • Strong stakeholder alignment, with AI initiatives clearly linked to business priorities.

  • GCA recognised as a leader in responsible, innovative AI adoption and transformation.
