JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager Product Control

SALARY: £43,803 – £53,100

LOCATION(S): Edinburgh

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

This is an exciting opportunity within Product Control. You’ll become a member of the Trading Book team, an agile and supportive team with a desire to further all of its colleagues development goals, via learning opportunities, knowledge sharing and cross training. The person in this role will manage the team's daily operations. They will focus on the daily P&L, monthly deliverables, and ad hoc projects.

We're seeking a candidate who is ready to take on a new challenge and continue their professional development in an exciting and rewarding environment. The Bank is in a period of significant transformation and this role is seen as key to the future development and success of the team.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Reviewing and preparing daily P&L production, reconciliations, signoffs, issue resolution.

  • Supporting the month-end close processes associated with accurately reporting and independently validating the bank’s balance sheet in a timely manner.

  • Supporting a robust control framework for all processes within remit.

  • Undertaking ad hoc work and investigation arising from partner requests.

  • Supporting delivery of efficiencies and a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Establishing and building relationships with partners.

  • Mentoring junior colleagues

Who is being sought

  • Qualified or part qualified with a desire for further study

  • Knowledge of Financial Instruments and interest in Financial Markets
