This involves cultivating new client and intermediary relationships, executing your strategic plan, and collaborating with internal teams. Your primary focus will be on the Project Finance and Loan Agency markets, where you will originate new business opportunities for our comprehensive suite of corporate trust products and services across international capital market segments, including project finance, structured finance, debt capital markets, syndicated loans, M&A, and workouts and restructurings.

As a EMEA Business Development Director for Corporate Trust and Agency, you will spearhead our growth strategy and drive revenue expansion across the region. This involves cultivating new client and intermediary relationships, executing your strategic plan, and collaborating with internal teams. Your primary focus will be on the Project Finance and Loan Agency markets, where you will originate new business opportunities for our comprehensive suite of corporate trust products and services across international capital market segments, including project finance, structured finance, debt capital markets, syndicated loans, M&A, and workouts and restructurings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop growth strategies and go-to-market plans for the Corporate Trust & Agency business in EMEA.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives by originating and closing new business within the EMEA client market and other assigned segments.
- Leverage a deep understanding of CSC's Corporate Trust and Agency services to identify and align our offerings with the objectives and needs of clients (including issuers, bankers, lawyers, and development finance institutions) and prospects.
- Maintain strong client connections to ensure market needs inform our existing services and recommend product enhancements and new service offerings.
- Identify key market opportunities and growth areas within the assigned client base and execute plans to enhance brand awareness.
- Coordinate responses to RFPs and the creation of new business proposals.
- Maintain timely and accurate pipeline management using Salesforce.
- Partner with Transaction Management, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment of proposals, pricing, and services with client and business expectations.
- Acquire and integrate industry knowledge regarding market trends, emerging needs, and the competitive landscape, sharing insights internally to anticipate client needs and drive the development or modification of products and services for the Project Finance and Loan Agency markets.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other geographies and product lines to identify and execute cross-selling strategies.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in the corporate trust business or international capital markets with a proven track record in sales, origination, and/or business development.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to creatively address client challenges by adapting our service platform.
- Proven ability to cultivate new client relationships.
- Experience in expanding the scope of services with existing client relationships.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and strategically-minded individual with a strong service orientation, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills focused on driving client solutions and providing excellent client experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding client deadlines.
- Strong team player with comfort and effectiveness in a multi-cultural environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Salesforce.
