Job Description

Product Operations (ProdOps) is a small collaborative team of specialists at Wise. The team itself is in a strong growth phase hence the need for this role. Our team has a rich mix, a broad range of experiences and subject matter experts to support your growth. ProdOps is organised into two sub-teams: Central who work across all of Product Development and Embedded who work within the tribes.

 

This role will be part of the Central Product Operations team so you’ll get visibility and exposure to all Product teams but also all the adjacent teams that work with us.

 

The focus of ProdOps is the machine (people & process) which underpins the build of our products. We have 120+ autonomous product teams, organised into 30+ squads and 6 tribes. Our product teams are cross functional and made up of some of the best engineers, product managers, analysts, designers, data scientists & researchers on the planet!

 

Your Mission:

Reporting to the Senior Product Operations Manager, you’ll help facilitate and manage the internal operational processes and cadences of our global Product team. You’ll handle the daily operational and logistical tasks that keep our Product development running smoothly. Your role will enable and empower the Product teams to do their best work, build the best products and ultimately deliver real value for our customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

This role focuses on two main aspects:

  • Product portfolio rhythms and rituals

  • Product community & culture 

 

Product portfolio rhythms & rituals

  • Own the logistical facets of our Company Planning Update ritual - ensuring everything goes off without a hitch from comms planning to workplace liaising and everything in between. Currently this happens 2-3 times per year. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in the strategy and content too.

  • Co-ordinate our quarterly Squad Days - from planning, execution, comms and dealing with inbound requests

  • Maintain best practices with internal documentation, making sure our central depository of information is upheld and remains relevant

  • Take administrative work off senior team members plates so they can focus on big-picture strategy and planning

 

Product community & culture

  • Support all areas of event execution on our annual Product Day and be heavily involved from day one - your opinion on how PMs connect, content, event planning, structure and logistics is valuable

  • Organise the logistical side of our London Product Lunch. You’ll also work alongside the Central team seniors and the sponsors on ideas, content and structure

  • Someone who can collaborate cross team and help the senior manager to build up an C&C programme

  • Open up your idea vault, we are all ears!

  • Highly organised - you can manage your work and thoughts effectively and carry out admin tasks efficiently

  • Articulate and engaging communication -you can tailor your style depending on your audience

  • Excellent at maintaining strong working relationships across teams 

  • Worked with a range of stakeholder types and a variety of teams

  • Great with internal tooling and documentation/publishing pages

  • Resilient - you welcome feedback and constantly seeks fresh ways to improve

  • Adaptable - Can make make quick decisions and move with changes

  • A ‘do-er’ attitude, can pull up their sleeves, leave their ego at the door and just get stuff done!

  • Someone who truly cares about the value of community and culture

  • Global mindset - you can think big and can adapt to different ways of working 

  • Full of ideas to bring some creative flair to the team

 

Nice to Have: 

  • Involvement in large scale internal company events 

  • Tech or fast moving industries background

  • Slack, Confluence, AI tools experience would be advantageous

  • Has experience working with globally spread teams but not mandatory
