Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Backend engineer to join our brand new Communications team, sitting at the centre of Wise. The team’s mission is to elevate the experience of how we reach out to customers, whether within or outside Wise’s product. The team’s goal is also to make sure our communications platform operates at scale, as we are now dealing with millions of customers and a large number of teams that need to reach out to our customers.
QualificationsWhat we require:
A Strong hands-on experience of Java (8+) and Spring Framework.
A Deep understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
A Product mindset — you think about customer impact, not just technical implementation.
Strong communication skills.
Experience of working closely with multiple functions.
Conflict resolution capabilities.
An ability to give focus to problem solving
Experience of working with product, design, analytics and other functions
Experience of working at a company where tech is at the centre of how the company operates
