Position SummaryThe Sales Representative (Biosciences Account Manager) at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers an outstanding opportunity to drive significant growth in our Biosciences portfolio across Central London. This role focuses on promoting and selling our world-class Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Protein Biology solutions from renowned brands like Invitrogen™, Gibco™, and Applied Biosystems™. It is a field-based position requiring proactive account management, strong business development, and seamless cross-functional collaboration to meet sales targets and deepen customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a territory sales plan to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
- Manage existing customer accounts and identify new opportunities to expand business within the region.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to determine needs and provide appropriate solutions across Thermo Fisher’s Biosciences portfolio.
- Collaborate with Technical Sales Specialists, Product Managers, and Marketing to support customer requirements and successfully implement complex sales opportunities.
- Use Salesforce CRM to manage customer information, sales activities, and pipeline forecasting.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments to inform sales strategy.
- Participate in customer events, seminars, and product demonstrations as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and safety guidelines in all sales activities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field (Master’s or PhD or equivalent experience preferred).
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in sales or account management within the life sciences sector.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a scientific or technical environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with scientific, technical, and commercial collaborators at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Encouraged travel: Regular domestic travel within UK or Europe for meetings and training.
- Familiarity with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Biosciences brands (Invitrogen, Gibco, Applied Biosystems).
- Experience selling consumables and capital equipment within life science research or production environments.
- Understanding of the Irish research landscape, including academic institutions, hospitals, and biotech companies.
