As an important member of the Global Bid Team, the Bid Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of the RFP process for qualified opportunities, acting as primary bid lead, working closely with sales and technical teams.
This role is aimed at an experienced Bid Manager, ideally with exposure in Unified Communications and Contact Centre environments, across both public and private sector bids.
Although primarily supporting the UK market, it is a global role and the successful candidate will need to work well in a remote team environment, supporting team members globally and across time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The end-to-end management and production of timely, high quality and ultimately successful bids in keeping with 8x8's bid process

  • Developing bid winning strategies in partnership with the wider teams

  • Promote and lead improvements in the quality of bids and proposals, ensuring best practice approaches to developing and producing bids 

  • Create bid response plan that drives the successful completion of each bid project

  • Organize team members by identifying the roles and responsibilities

  • Manage planning and review sessions to drive towards fast and efficient completion of bids

  • Track and manage risk throughout the bid process

  • Host learning reviews and assist with driving global best practices around bid qualification and response process

  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues

  • Communicate and influence at a senior level

  • Assist with maintaining the Responsive database and various proposal templates

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of managing and leading a Bid team (often virtual), driving efficiencies, reviews and continual improvement ultimately leading to an improved Bid / Success conversion rate

  • Experience of leading and producing winning Bids and Proposals to the Private and Public Sector 

  • Strong project management and organisational skills.

  • Financially astute with ability to create & interpret financial reports and models.

  • Broad understanding of SaaS, Unified Communications, Contact Centre technologies and services

  • Demonstrable experience of winning as part of high performing and efficient Bid team

  • Ability to present, persuade and influence at all levels via strong interpersonal communications skills

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with remote and on-site team members

  • Strong work ethic; attention to detail and accuracy is fundamental

  • A winning and 'can do' attitude that recovers from setbacks and makes opportunity from lessons learned
