Job Description

This is a brilliant opportunity to join our Treasury team in Edinburgh as a Business Analyst - FX & OTC. Our team oversees our modules which handle a variety of FX and OTC transactions, as well as securities lending and borrowing, repurchase agreements, collateral management and cash management. The Treasury team is part of the Investment Transactions domain within the Avaloq Core Platform division and currently focuses on extending our collateral management, securities lending and borrowing functionality.

You will join a group of highly-skilled, motivated, and dynamic people. We value collaboration and knowledge sharing. We live Agile processes, which assist us to continuously improve as individuals and as a team.

  • Working as part of an Agile Development team in line with the product roadmap, and collaborating with partners and clients
  • Specifying new functionality and maintaining existing functionality
  • Supporting developers during implementation, testing and quality assurance for new functionality and system corrections
  • Acting as point of contact for functional questions, plus analysing and following-up on customer inquiries about the modules in the Treasury space
  • Supporting consulting projects and workshops with customers and partners
  • Updating product documentation in collaboration with our Technical Writers

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in a similar role with Foreign Exchange and OTC transactions is a must
  • Experience with SQL and Jira is a must for this role
  • Experience of working autonomously and collaboratively in a technical environment 
  • Being keen to learn and to take on new challenges
  • Ability to understand, abstract, and specify banking processes and requirements

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • Knowledge of Avaloq Core & Front Platform with certification
  • University or FH degree in Business Information Systems, Banking, Economics or equivalent 
  • IT affinity or experience in software development / technical skills
  • Ideally you will have professional communication skills in German
