We’re looking for a Business Analyst with SAP S/4HANA experience to support a major upgrade programme from version 2021 to 2025. This role plays a key part in preparing the organisation for the transition, with a strong focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) readiness.
You’ll assess current business processes to understand the impact of the upgrade, review and validate existing UAT scripts, identify any gaps, and migrate these scripts into SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Manager (CALM). You’ll also coordinate and support UAT activities, ensure issues are documented and resolved, and update the final scripts based on lessons learned throughout the programme.
- Business Process Review: Conduct detailed reviews to assess how the SAP S/4HANA upgrade will impact existing business processes, with a particular focus on finance processes and Joint Venture Accounting.
- UAT Planning & Scripting: Work closely with business users to define repeatable UAT test cases and scripts, ensuring full coverage of critical business processes, integrations, and dependencies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear, consistent communication with project stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and key issues throughout the upgrade lifecycle.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain high‑quality documentation covering business processes, UAT scripts, test results, and migration activities.
- Clean Core Discovery: Identify opportunities for clean core transformation during the upgrade preparation, capturing areas for optimisation that can be explored post‑upgrade.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience with SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects, particularly around business process impact analysis.
- Finance process background preferred, with Joint Venture Accounting experience highly beneficial.
- Hands-on experience using SAP Cloud ALM to support and manage UAT activities.
- Proven ability to design, execute, and coordinate UAT scripts in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative, solution‑focused approach.
- A proactive self‑starter, capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Desirable: Experience within Upstream Oil & Gas or a similar complex, process‑driven industry.
