Department/Team
The Authorisations Division ensures the firms and individuals who apply to us to be authorised or approved understand how we test they will comply with our regulation. We use authorisation to help deliver our public offer and as a tool to protect consumers from the harm that can be caused by bad conduct in the financial services industry. The division is also home to 2 of our most important external services – our Supervision Hub and the Financial Services Register.
The Register and Authorisations services department is currently at the forefront of two FCA priorities, seeking to strengthen our operational and regulatory excellence: enhancing the application journey with new forms at the gateway and improving our Financial Services Register products.
The Register Authorisations Services department is seeking to recruit a highly collaborative and motivated individual skilled in stakeholder management to help facilitate the successful roll-out and embedding of these exciting transformation projects.
What will you be doing?
Engage across the FCA to scope and determine impact of changes, supporting effective business implementation
Provide strategic oversight of the adoption and embedding of business-led change and other changes against Authorisations’ business plan and objectives, as well as the FCA strategy

Lead a group of Business Implementation Managers (BIMs) to identify challenges and coordinate business-led change across the division
Support the Register and Gateway projects directly, as well as ensuring coordination across business-led change, projects in the Change portfolio and other initiatives to enable thoughtful implementation
Supporting the Register Authorisations Services department leadership team to engage the department to improve our local ways of working and improving staff engagement & morale
What will you get from the role?
The opportunity to help deliver high-profile public commitments
The opportunity to work with colleagues who are at the ‘gateway’ of the FCA and develop a sound understanding of how the authorisation process works
The chance to play a key role in our work to revolutionise the Register and the way we use it to engage with consumers and firms
The opportunity to develop and share your experience and expertise, while working in a team passionate about high-quality delivery and improving the user experience
