Job Overview:

We are excited to offer a 12-month remote paid Business Intelligence Internship opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience transforming data into meaningful insights. As an intern, you will work closely with our teams to support various initiatives, learn the industry, and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.

In addition to departmental and professional development work, our interns have opportunity in:

  • Dashboard Development: Craft and refine impactful dashboards tailored to business needs. Deliver compelling visuals that empower business users with insightful data.
  • Data Analysis & Extraction: Engage in proactive data exploration, identifying trends and raising alerts to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Automation: Automate repetitive data procurement tasks for greater efficiency.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure the reliability and validity of data sources and models. 
  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Prepare data for analysis by cleaning, transforming, and organizing it.
  • Special Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver, flexible and innovative solutions.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Working towards bachelor’s degree in in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • Ability to analyze and understand data and have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau is preferred
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend processes improvements
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Excellency in organizational, time management and decision-making/critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is beneficial
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
