Role Description

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to lead a high-impact analytics team that partners with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market to drive insights, scale operations, and inform strategic decisions.

This is a hybrid leadership role that blends analytics, people management, and operational excellence. You’ll be responsible for guiding the team’s roadmap, improving how we prioritize and execute analytics work, and helping senior leadership plan and track progress on key business initiatives. You’ll also act as a trusted partner to the Director of Analytics—helping connect the dots across planning, performance reviews, and stakeholder communication.

An ideal candidate is both technically strong and operationally savvy: equally comfortable optimizing a data model as they are leading a quarterly business review or defining the analytics strategy for the next planning cycle.

Responsibilities
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing Business Intelligence team—defining clear goals, coaching for growth, and fostering a collaborative, impact-oriented culture.
  • Define the BI strategy and roadmap in partnership with the Director of Analytics and cross-functional leadership.
  • Drive alignment between analytics priorities and company objectives.
  • Manage the team’s Jira process and analytics pipeline, ensuring requests are efficiently triaged, prioritized, and tracked from intake to delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to make team operations more scalable and proactive—shifting focus from ad hoc requests to strategic, high-leverage work.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of analytics projects and deliverables, ensuring visibility and accountability across leadership and stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Analytics to support quarterly business reviews, planning cycles, and goal-setting processes.
  • Help prepare performance metrics, dashboards, and summaries for business and strategy reviews.
  • Collaborate on writing planning documents, filling in key metrics, and synthesizing input from across the business.
  • Proactively connect with stakeholders to gather updates, align expectations, and communicate progress.
  • Partner strategically with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into analytical questions and actionable insights.
  • Oversee development of data models, pipelines, and visualizations that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain high standards for data quality, governance, and documentation.
  • Champion storytelling through data—helping teams understand not just what the data says, but why it matters.
Requirements
  • 8–10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Engineering, including at least 2–3 years managing analysts or BI engineers.
  • Proven success leading analytics initiatives that drive measurable business impact.
  • Experience managing team operations, prioritization systems (e.g., Jira), and project pipelines.
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Deep understanding of data modeling best practices and data warehouse design.
  • Experience in cloud environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills—able to simplify complex data into clear business narratives.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset; thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented and comfortable juggling multiple cross-functional initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related).
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a SaaS or consumer technology environment.
  • Prior experience in an analytics operations, business planning, or “chief of staff” function.
  • Familiarity with OKR processes, business review cadences, or strategic planning frameworks.
