About the Role
We’re seeking a Deputy CMO who thrives in high-velocity environments and can bring clarity, structure, and follow-through to complex marketing and organizational initiatives. This role is part strategic operator, part executive business manager, and part trusted advisor. You’ll work side-by-side with the CMO, helping manage key priorities, internal and external communications, and strategic initiatives across global teams.
The ideal candidate has a marketing background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to connect dots across multiple functions Product, Sales, Brand, and RevOps. You’re comfortable juggling multiple conversations, managing stakeholders at all levels, and stepping into meetings or decisions when the CMO is unavailable.
This is a hybrid strategic and operational role, requiring both intellectual rigor and hands-on execution. The position includes travel for key meetings, summits, and global events. 
 
 
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Organizational Leadership
  • Act as a force multiplier to the CMO, prioritize, execute, and follow up on strategic initiatives across Marketing, Product, and Sales.
  • Prepare, manage, and track execution of the CMO’s key goals, OKRs, and strategic pillars.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in decision-making, aligning leadership communications and ensuring operational continuity when the CMO is unavailable.
  • Translate complex discussions into clear actions, owners, and deadlines ensuring progress without micromanagement.
  • The role requires consistent availability and support during Eastern Standard Time (EST) working hours, with partial overlap into European time zones.
Project & Operational Management
  • Drive alignment across teams for high-impact projects, ensuring milestones are met and dependencies are clear.
  • Partner with the CMO to organize and lead executive meetings, leadership offsites, and cross-functional syncs.
  • Manage follow-ups, ensure accountability, and provide structured reporting to leadership.
  • Oversee preparation of materials for board updates, marketing summits, and executive presentations.
Marketing & Business Insight
  • Contribute marketing insight and analysis helping the CMO prepare for key discussions with Product, Brand, and Growth leaders.
  • Support budget planning, resource allocation, and performance tracking across marketing initiatives.
  • Draft and refine strategic communications internal memos, speeches, or external correspondence that reflect the CMO’s tone and vision.
  • Partner with RevOps on performance dashboards, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
Executive & Administrative Support
  • Manage calendar priorities, travel logistics, and strategic meeting planning to optimize the CMO’s bandwidth.
  • Anticipate needs before they arise preparing briefs, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring the CMO is always two steps ahead.
  • Join the CMO in key meetings or events, representing the office with professionalism, discretion, and strong situational awareness.

  • Trusted Confidant: You handle sensitive information with discretion and demonstrate emotional intelligence at all times.
  • Adaptive Communicator: You know how to adjust tone, style, and language for different personalities from visionary founders to analytical operators.
  • Traveler & Partner: You’re comfortable traveling globally to support the CMO in high-stakes meetings, summits, and industry events. 
Qualifications
  • 7–10+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, or operations roles (experience in agency, startup, or tech environments a plus).
  • Proven experience supporting or working closely with senior executives or founders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation and storytelling ability.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with proficiency in tools like Notion, Asana, or Monday.com.
  • Experience coordinating global teams and managing travel logistics is preferred.

  • The CMO’s time is maximized for strategy, vision, and external representation.
  • You are seen across the organization as a trusted operator, clear communicator, and reliable extension of the CMO’s leadership office.
