Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Advisory team at Marsh Commercial. This role will be based in the Harrogate or Skipton office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The role: Commercial Client Advisor (Account Manager)

This position would suit an experienced Insurance Account Manager having worked in a Handler/Broker type role previously however experience within other areas of insurance such as Claims/Underwriting or even professional services could be considered as training will be provided.

You will be responsible for supporting the Client Executives in maintaining their book of business and handling the day-to-day activities including renewals, mid-term adjustments and handling any client queries.

We will rely on you to:

  • Work with Account Executives to retain and generate new business, by leveraging strategy information and managing contract reviews and midterm changes.

  • Partner with Account Executives to help them achieve sales goals

  • Work on all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.

  • Manage all day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments for a number of our larger accounts

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth.

  • Offer technical support for complex or high-priority relationships when needed to ensure relationship satisfaction and maintain a mutual internal and external understanding.

  • Serve as a client contact for day-to-day needs and answer standard or more difficult client questions to improve the client experience.

  • Maintains a detailed understanding of changing market condition and understands and complies with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients

What you need to have:

  • Previous experience within a similar role within commercial or corporate insurance within a similar role or other insurance related field.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Confidence to advise and negotiate.

  • The ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
