Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven  Partnerships Manager to join our Strategic Partnerships team in London. You will be part of a tribe that is passionate about thinking differently and getting things done.

This is a new role within a Global team. We are looking for a strategic operator who is unfazed by rapid pacing and loves a challenge. You will own the growth plan, from strategy and go-to-market plans to full execution. You must be driven to test relentlessly, quickly translate insights into scalable growth, and solve tough problems with speed and precision.

You will find a way to drive new customer growth via large scale consumer partnerships that position Wise as the best financial solution for communities with international money needs.

We are looking for someone to come in and hit the ground running. Someone to develop our strategic consumer partnerships framework. Someone to work closely with internal marketing teams (e.g. brand, PR, social, regional) to ensure this new plan fits within our regional marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Autonomous Strategy: Work independently to define, develop and validate a global growth strategy for new, strategic consumer partnerships to drive significant customer acquisition  

  • Commercial Deal Structuring & Execution: Lead the creation of innovative commercial frameworks for complex, multi-regional consumer partnerships and structure, negotiate, and execute a wide range of agreements that drive measurable value for Wise 

  • Opportunity Development: Identify, secure, and activate strategic partnerships that align with Wise's core customer acquisition objectives and reach target audiences effectively at scale

  • Cross-Functional Go-To-Market: Work closely and collaboratively with regional marketing teams to integrate to integrate and launch global partnerships seamlessly into broader regional marketing plans and product ecosystems

  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Use strong analytical skills to identify performance trends, opportunities, and challenges within new activities, effectively translating insights into strategy

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a small team (2+), providing guidance and support on scaling projects

  • Commercial Acumen: You are a natural at structuring and closing diverse commercial deals, big or small, with a keen eye for what truly delivers value

  • Strategic Thinker: You effortlessly connect project/growth strategies to core business objectives, with a proven track record of hitting the mark

  • Strong Analytical Mindset: You love diving into data, spotting trends, and unearthing insights that directly shape winning strategies

  • Empowering Leader: You've successfully managed and mentored small teams (2+), helping them grow and scale projects effectively

  • Collaborative Nature: You genuinely enjoy building strong relationships, whether it's with internal Wise teams or external speakers and vendors

  • Self-Starting Executor: You're fully autonomous, able to independently plan, validate, and own projects from start to finish, backed by support from our Strategic Partnerships team and Regional Leads

  • Results-Oriented & Process-Driven: You thrive on managing multiple workstreams to ensure partnerships and events are delivered on time, to budget, with a focus on ensuring registrations translate into valuable customers for Wise

Nice-to-have 

  • FinTech or payments industry knowledge

  • Offline marketing & events experience

  • Affiliate marketing experience

  • Fluency in multiple languages
