Job Description

We’re looking for a Compliance Senior Manager to join our Group Regulatory Compliance team. You will be based in our busy London headquarters and lead on governance for Wise Group Compliance, with a particular focus on emerging AI regulation, and support our regulatory processes in this space - both existing and emerging globally. This means that the ideal candidate will be someone who thrives at dealing with new and complex areas of regulation and delivering regulatory change within a business to meet these requirements.

Our Group Compliance team is responsible for compliance frameworks and co-ordinating strategic regulatory initiatives across the 80 licences which Wise holds. This role will work across those three areas and help Wise to shape and develop the use of AI by navigating and applying emerging regulatory requirements and partnering with teams across the business to drive and effect change.

The ideal candidate will therefore have experience in delivering change within complex organisations and find this an appealing aspect of the role. You will also be responsible for advising on, overseeing, and creating comprehensive policies for AI compliance across the Group. To achieve this, you will partner with SMEs across our Privacy, Security, Risk and Engineering Teams to enhance Wise’s AI Governance.

You will also be responsible for leading regulatory deep dives in multiple regions, conducting global gap analyses, and developing overarching, scalable frameworks designed to effectively manage the varying degrees of regulatory complexity across our diverse licenses and markets.   You will need to be able to be able to work closely and in detail with product, engineering and 1st and 2nd line compliance teams, therefore hands on experience and a problem-solving mindset are a huge benefit, as is technical expertise and of course, experience in regulatory compliance.

You will therefore be a pro at stakeholder management, have a passion and interest in international regulation and be adept at spotting common requirements where we can support our teams around the world with their compliance obligations.

The work will be fast paced in this evolving field. The ideal candidate will be able to work and thrive in a fast paced environment where change is constant and be able to build controls, policies and frameworks from new. As Wise continues to grow and the Group Compliance function evolves, the nature of your work too may evolve to meet our business needs and develop over time.
