As a Compliance Specialist at neptune.ai, you will join our fully remote Operations team. You'll be the go-to person for all things legal and compliance for our Polish and US entities.
At Neptune, we want to give AI researchers the same level of control and confidence when training models as software developers have when shipping applications. Our solution is an experiment tracker built for teams that train foundational models. We’re one of the most recognizable tools in the MLOps industry, with over 60k AI researchers using the platform and 200k+ AI practitioners visiting our blog monthly.
In this role, you will:
- Take full ownership of the company’s legal and compliance matters for both Polish and US entities.
- Draft and maintain policies, contracts, processes, and various internal and external documents.
- Lead SOC2 certification and audit processes.
- Act as the GDPR officer, overseeing all aspects of data protection compliance.
- Negotiate vendor deals and manage all aspects of vendor relationships.
- Seek and coordinate the work of external legal counsels if needed.
You might be a fit if you have:
- Legal background (minimum Bachelor’s degree in Polish or common law).
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or procurement roles, with a strong track record of independence and exposure to a diverse range of tasks.
- Experience managing at least two entities, including both Polish and US.
- A keen interest in the wide range of legal and compliance issues that come with a startup environment, with the ability to operate independently.
- Fluency in both Polish and English, with exceptional written proficiency in both languages and a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work quickly while maintaining a high quality of work.
Nice to have:
- A postgraduate degree in American Law or Polish Law, depending on your career focus.
- GDPR certification.
- Experience in negotiation.
- Experience working in a fully remote setup.
- Experience with fundraising, venture deals, IPOs, or M&A activities.
