As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.
For everyone, everywhere.

More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our growing Spend Team in our London office. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission, grow as a product leader and help save millions more people money.

Your mission:

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer and spend money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world’s first platform to offer true multi-currency banking.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing:

As a Product Lead at Wise, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of a key product area that directly contributes to our mission. You’ll lead a cross-functional team of Product Managers, engineers, designers, analysts, and marketers to solve complex problems and deliver high-impact solutions for our customers.

You’ll also play a leadership role in shaping how we build products at Wise – mentoring other PMs, contributing to company-wide product thinking, and pushing for continuous improvement.

  • Own a product area: Define and drive the long-term vision and strategy. Prioritize ruthlessly to deliver value at scale.
  • Lead a cross-functional team: Collaborate with engineers, designers, data analysts, and operations to ship world-class products.
  • Deeply understand our customers: Use data, research, and feedback to understand pain points and opportunities across global markets.
  • Drive measurable impact: Set clear success metrics, track performance, and iterate rapidly.
  • Balance product quality and speed: Push for high standards while shipping fast and learning quickly.
  • Influence across the company: Align stakeholders, communicate vision, and build trust with teams across Wise.
  • Leadership: Support the growth of your direct reports through mentoring and coaching.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Choose your path to impact - we believe people are most empowered when they can act autonomously. So rather than telling you what to do, you’ll work with your team to create a vision of your own. Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across Wise but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls
  • Grow as a leader - Lead and grow your team
  • Work within the payments domain, more specifically cards and the experience our customers have when choosing and using our product, attract new customers and increase existing customers' use of the product through offering superior experiences and features.

Qualifications

A bit about you:

  • You’re passionate about problem solving, product and user experience, customers are at the heart of what you do. You love talking to customers and building stuff that solves their problems.
  • You have launched complex products in the past that required cross-team collaboration. Whether it’s sign-off from Compliance, defining the product flows with Design, talking with Engineering about the architecture, drafting terms and conditions with Legal, or planning go to market strategies with marketing etc. You’re able to break down a big initiative into smaller steps and figure out who is responsible for what.
  • You have made an impact on key metrics such as feature adoption or monthly new customer acquisition through methodical and meticulous consideration of customer needs and experience.
  • You care about the quality of the product, you’re extremely detail-oriented and have an eye for design — misaligned buttons annoy the heck out of you.
  • You don’t need an analyst to help you find data. You should know how to use BI tools to manipulate readily available data to back your decisions, but also be able to write SQL queries if that doesn’t exist. You like numbers, and you’re able to interpret the data in terms of actionable insights.
  • You have defined and owned a team’s long term, strategic roadmap.
  • You know and love cards! Experience working with cards products and a passion for making it as convenient as possible.

Additional Information

We’re people without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. So if you’re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in.

Also, qualifications aren’t that important to us. If you’ve got great experience, and you’re great at articulating your thinking, we’d like to hear from you.

And because we believe that diverse teams build better products, we’d especially love to hear from you if you’re from an under-represented demographic.

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders  — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
