About the role:

This role is predominately located in West Lothian. You will be delivering compliance to council assets across multiple sites. This will include recruitment and motivating teams to provide outstanding customer service and excellent contract delivery. Mears offers a comprehensive facilities management service that encompasses multi-disciplinary activities within the built environment and the management of their impact upon the serviced property. Mears is a corporate member of the British Institute for Facilities Management.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To lead and manage teams responsible to your contract. This will include recruitment and motivating teams to provide outstanding customer service and excellent contract delivery.
  • To manage the Profit and loss account and Budgets.
  • To monitor, evaluate and control the use of sub-contractors, suppliers and the performance of labour resources.
  • To ensure that all Reactive, Planned, Statutory and Non-Statutory preventative maintenance programmes are completed on time and within budget.
  • To always act in accordance with Mears Group Policies, Processes, and systems. 
  • Attend Client meetings as well as developing key Client relationships.

Role Criteria:

  • Proven track record of planned works or repairs and maintenance management & delivery.
  • Experience of managing a Total FM contract across multiple sites.
  • Experienced in PPM compliance and H&S.
  • Proven track record of commercial and performance management.
  • Proven track record of working in a customer focused environment.
  • Experience of contract/project management including: Motivating & inspiring a diverse workforce.-Building & maintaining a strong control environment incorporating business governance, risk management processes (registers and BCP) and adherence to Scheme of Delegated Authority (SODA)

Mears are looking for a Contract Manager with a background in Facilities or experience in a similar contract environment. With expertise in managing multiple sites, you will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and exceptional negotiating skills. You will be used to managing a complex on-site team and have a high level of client relationship building skills.

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
