How YOU will make a Difference:
The Contract Technical Business Analyst professional works closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document business processes, data flows, system capabilities, and user requirements. The Contract Technical Business Analyst also identifies opportunities for improving business efficiency, automation, and quality, and develops solutions that meet the business needs and objectives.
What YOU will do:
- Gather, clarify, and validate the business requirements from various stakeholders using appropriate techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, etc.
- Validate the requirements with the business and technical stakeholders, and ensure that they are clear, complete, consistent, feasible, and testable.
- Document and analyze the current state of business processes and design the future state of improved and optimized processes.
- Identify and prioritize areas where business processes can be streamlined, simplified, or automated to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Define and document the data sources, inputs, outputs, transformations, and validations for each business process and system.
- Assist the quality assurance team in developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on the requirements and solutions.
- Coordinate and facilitate the user acceptance testing (UAT) process and ensure that the solutions meet the user expectations and acceptance criteria.
Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:
- BA degree in business, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Certification in business analysis, such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or IIBA-AAC preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in business analysis, system analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of business process modeling, data modeling, system analysis, and design methodologies and tools.
- Proficient in using various software applications, such as MS Office, Visio, SQL, etc.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of the industry, domain, and business functions is preferred.
Compensation: The base salary range for this position in the greater Seattle area is $40/hr - $50/hr for a level II and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors.
