Company Overview

Blue Energy’s mission is to unlock energy abundance, energy affordability, energy security, and turn-key decarbonization by developing the fastest path to deploying new nuclear MWs at scale. We are utilizing shipyard manufacturing supply chains and techniques from offshore oil and wind to reduce the cost of nuclear plants by over 60% and the manufacturing timeline to 24 months. Blue Energy is a platform technology that makes use of the latest NRC-approved reactors and is in negotiations with existing nuclear and industrial sites, enabling a much faster regulatory pathway to deploy our first unit. With our innovative centralized shipyard manufacturing approach, we can put nuclear power on a cost-reduction learning curve akin to wind, solar, and lithium-ion batteries.

Position Overview

Blue Energy is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Operations Intern to support the day‑to‑day functioning and scaling of our internal operations.

This role provides hands‑on exposure to cross‑functional corporate operations, including people operations, internal systems, executive support, and document control. As a Corporate Operations Intern, you will work closely with the Corporate Operations team and gain visibility into how a high‑growth energy company builds the processes, systems, and discipline required to scale.

This is not a theoretical or observational internship. You will take ownership of well‑scoped operational tasks and small process improvements, contribute to live projects, and support the development of scalable internal systems, while operating with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

A Day in the Life

As an intern at Blue Energy, you will:

  • Support Core Operations: Assist with day‑to‑day operational tasks across HR, internal systems, executive support, and corporate administration.

  • Systems and Tools Assistance: Support the use and upkeep of internal tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams), including data hygiene and documentation.

  • Process Improvement Ownership: Take ownership of clearly defined process improvements, helping streamline workflows, trackers, or documentation.

  • Document Control and Organization: Help maintain organized, up‑to‑date internal documentation, templates, and shared files in accordance with company standards.

  • Live Project Support: Contribute to active operational projects that directly support team efficiency, onboarding, internal coordination, staff wellbeing and satisfaction - no busywork or hypothetical exercises.

You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • Excellent at Writing and Communicating: You can communicate clearly, verbally or in written form, to diverse stakeholders.

  • Highly Organized and Detail‑Oriented: You enjoy keeping systems tidy, information accurate, and tasks well‑tracked.

  • Curious About How Companies Operate: You are interested in understanding how internal processes, systems, and teams work together to support growth.

  • Comfortable Taking Ownership: You are willing to take responsibility for defined tasks and follow them through to completion.

  • Professional and Trustworthy: You understand the importance of discretion, reliability, and professional judgement in an operational role.

  • Adaptable and Solutions‑Focused: You can adjust priorities, learn new tools quickly, and approach problems with a practical mindset.

Qualifications/Helpful Background

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in business, operations, management or a related field.

  • Strong working familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Interest in operations, business systems, or organizational effectiveness.

  • Exposure to administrative, operations, or program coordination work through prior internships, part‑time roles, student organizations, or campus employment

We look forward to your application and helping foster an era of safe, clean, affordable, and abundant energy.

Blue Energy is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the right candidate for this or other roles at Blue Energy now or in the future.
