About the Department

The CRM Team sits within the Client Group Function and is pivotal in delivering technology tools and analytics solutions that manage client data, maximize sales opportunities, and optimize business processes. Salesforce and partner applications are at the heart of these efforts, supporting wider business functions such as Marketing, Finance, and Client Services with campaign management, performance reporting, onboarding, and risk management.

About the Role

As a CRM Data Scientist, you will work closely with the Client Group business areas to identify issues and opportunities, leveraging data analysis to provide insights that drive smarter decision-making. Your role will focus on understanding client behaviours and market opportunities to support abrdn in delivering impactful customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver business intelligence solutions by providing analytics based on client profiles and behaviours.

  • Develop predictive models to identify client buying behaviours and suggest selling opportunities for distribution teams.

  • Transform internal and external data into actionable insights and learning outcomes.

  • Build perspective analytics to identify next best actions for Salesforce users.

  • Create and manage Salesforce / CRM Analytics / Data Cloud datasets, reports, and dashboards.

  • Use insights to influence business strategies and approaches to challenges.

  • Support the identification of business opportunities and risk threats through data analysis.

  • Prepare and deliver business presentations and training materials.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.

  • Stay updated on sales technology developments and propose innovative solutions.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Experience

  • Proficiency in Python.

  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, loading, and exploration.

  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including at senior management levels.

  • Ability to communicate findings effectively to support business decision-making.

  • Background in asset management with an understanding of wholesale and institutional client requirements.
