Lead Ahrefs' marketing in German-speaking markets, creating content and strategies for brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition while managing events and local partnerships.
As Ahrefs continues to experience strong growth, particularly in German speaking markets, we are seeking a dynamic and hands-on DACH marketing manager to lead our marketing efforts in this strategic region. Reporting directly to the Head of International Marketing, this is a brand new role that will be a key part of our passionate and talented global marketing team.
Responsibilities:- Serve as the driving force behind Ahrefs' marketing efforts in the German speaking market, taking a hands-on approach to all aspects of the marketing mix
- Develop and execute common sense marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition
- Directly manage the creation and localization of content, including blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, and other digital assets
- Manage all German related marketing activities including content creation, events, partnerships, and public relations.
- Lead offers in educating the German market in SEO/AI Search/AI Marketing best practices, placing Ahrefs front and center.
- Organize and participate in key marketing events, such as networking events, conferences, and customer meetups, to build relationships and generate leads
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities and continuously optimize marketing initiatives
- Report on performance to senior leadership
- 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry. Primarily focused on localization and adapting content from English-speaking markets to German-speaking audiences, creating promotional materials, and organizing local meetups.
- Good knowledge in using Ahrefs product and understanding of its application in the German market.
- Experience in SEO is considered a big plus
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the German market for global companies
- Ability to go after quick wins in the first few months in the role, keep what’s working, and develop a mid- to long-term strategy tailored to the local market while working as a one-person team (to start with).
- Excellent content creation and digital marketing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality assets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Native in German and fluent in English, both written and verbal
