About the Team
The Business Intelligence team at Cloudflare is responsible for building a centralized cloud data lake and an analytics platform that enables our internal Business Partners and Product teams with actionable insights and also provides a 360 view of our business. Our goal is to democratize data, support Cloudflare's critical business needs, provide reporting and analytics via self-service tools to fuel existing and new business critical initiatives.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our London or Lisbon teams to scale our product analytics initiatives. You will partner closely with our product organization, analyzing a wide array of datasets to inform product team data requests ranging from routine reporting and ad hoc analysis, to long-term and strategic product roadmap-influencing projects.
Success in this role will rely on marrying a strong analytics background with product and business acumen to deliver highly strategic and compelling insights that accelerate our business growth and influence our product decisions.
Role Responsibilities
  • Provide analytics support, product understanding, and a strategic perspective to our product partners
  • Partner and align with data engineers, product managers, and other product stakeholders to enable data driven answers to key business problems
  • Take initiative and ask questions to iteratively define, build, and maintain business metrics and reports
  • Develop and automate data pipelines and reports to enable insights at scale
  • Weave stories with data to help stakeholders understand analytical insights

Role Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields
  • 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and plotting libraries
  • Experience writing advanced SQL queries
  • Initiative, curiosity, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in translating business questions into analysis frameworks, converting the results into business recommendations, and presenting those recommendations back to business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of data management, data modeling and data warehousing fundamentals
  • Experience with statistical analysis programming languages (R, Python, etc.)

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience and/or an understanding and keen interest in internet security
  • Experience with a fast-growing SaaS business based company preferred
