About this role

Overview

Join our distributed team of cyber security experts, protecting our business and developing exciting capabilities on the frontline of cyber defense. Apply your passion and knowledge of cyber security to assist in the investigation of incidents. This individual will be part of the Cyber Data Protection Operations team that is responsible for monitoring and investigating user activity data and alerts to identify indicators of data compromise or loss. This individual will work closely with other members of the Information Security team and partners across the enterprise to ensure the successful delivery of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program.

The Data Protection Analyst is responsible for using SIEM, DLP, and UBA technologies to triage and respond to alerts related to data loss and user behavior analytics. In this role, the analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to understand data usage within their teams, assess data sensitivity, and evaluate the potential impact of data loss. The analyst will also coordinate with stakeholders throughout the organization to address and resolve data loss incidents.

What the ideal candidate looks like:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a security operations center, or similar security technical and operational experience is preferred.
  • University Degree. MBA, CISSP, CISM, GCHI, CEH, CCNA, GIAC, or other Cybersecurity certification is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of DLP/UBA concepts.
  • Experience investigating DLP alerts and working with technology and business units during such investigations.
  • Hands-on experience with UBA, DLP and SIEM tools with a focus on creating and maintaining rules in DLP technologies.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise sound technical, interpersonal and organizational judgment while evaluating and solving complex problems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact directly with individuals that do not have an IT background.
  • Action-oriented attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves.
  • Integrity and the highest ethical standards.
  • Courage of convictions and the ability to respectfully debate the status quo.
