The Role
As a Data Protection Consultant within our Data & Analytics practice, you’ll apply your knowledge of data privacy, retention, security and governance to help clients protect critical data assets. You’ll work on data protection strategies, operational improvements and the integration of ethical data practices within broader governance initiatives. This role requires strong analytical thinking, communication skills and a keen understanding of data management in regulated industries.
What You’ll Do
Support clients in designing data protection strategies as part of enterprise data governance
Assess and enhance data control processes, tooling and operational effectiveness
Contribute to defining policies, standards, and guidelines for data protection and ethics
Conduct workshops and interviews to identify data risks and link them to governance capabilities
Develop strategic roadmaps to operationalize scalable data protection frameworks
What We’re Looking For
Hands-on experience in data protection areas such as privacy, sharing, retention and security
Broad understanding of data governance and management disciplines
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complexity
Comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision in client-facing roles
Strong interest in developing expertise in data protection within financial services or energy
Bonus Points For
2+ years of consulting experience or equivalent change/transformation role
Familiarity with data ethics, regulatory obligations, and industry standards
Experience delivering data governance or data quality projects
Ability to create frameworks, methodologies, or accelerators for internal use
Contribution to business development or thought leadership initiatives
