The Impact of the Role:

By managing cross-functional projects and ensuring end-to-end data quality, you’ll help build trust in systems that will define the future of connected and electric vehicles.

From overseeing data quality programs and aligning with frameworks such as the R-OBD (Remote On-Board Diagnostics), to driving compliance readiness for regulatory initiatives such as the EU Data Act, your expertise will directly influence how one of the world’s largest OEMs operates in an increasingly data-driven industry.

On a given day, a Data Quality Project Manager will:

  • Plan, manage, and oversee data quality projects across multiple stakeholders and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities.
  • Validate and cross-check vendor data to ensure robust quality standards.
  • Develop automated data quality assurance solutions and frameworks, applying the JKK principle (Built-in-Quality with ownership).
  • Perform end-to-end testing using actual vehicle systems and real-world vehicle data.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, ensuring reliability across systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional R&D and regulatory teams, ensuring effective communication, prioritisation, and delivery of project milestones.
  • Infuse data quality practices into BI, reporting, and other business-critical systems.
  • Contribute to broader data-related initiatives, including EU Data Act compliance.
  • When R-OBD becomes mandated, coordinate and respond to authority/regulatory inquiries in close collaboration with Quality Function and R&D.
  • Working closely with internal partners and/or vendors to validate and improve data quality processes.
Requirements

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • BSc. and/or MSc. in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or any related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Data Engineer, Data Quality, Data Governance, or Data Validation roles.
  • Proven experience in Project Management, including planning, stakeholder management, and delivery in complex technical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and scripting (SQL, Python, etc.).
  • Experience working with DataFrames (e.g., Pandas, PySpark).
  • Experience developing automated data quality solutions and setting up frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, deequ).
  • Familiarity with end-to-end testing using real-world/vehicle data.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and data compliance (e.g., EU Data Act).
  • Previous working experience with BI/reporting systems and integrating data quality controls.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills to document and present findings effectively.
  • Fluency in English is a must, as we are a multinational company.
  • Active contribution as a team player to collaborative efforts.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies, embracing an out of the box thinking approach.
