The Role: The Fund Data Team requires a Data Analyst to process our portfolio data across global markets. The analyst will need to work closely with the global Team and Local Business Representatives, taking responsibility for data coverage, quality, and timeliness to the highest standards. The Data Research Analyst will form closer links with providers related to data acquisition processes and gain expert knowledge of our database. The position will be based in our Data and Development Center EMEA and will report to the Leader of the Operational Team. The position is based in our Madrid office.
Responsibilities: • Build deep expertise of Morningstar's products, customer and especially data landscape.• Gain experience in project management and provide input into the data process.• Contribute to ongoing training sessions, stretch projects, and round-table discussions while developing a strong foundation of knowledge to build on and use in your Morningstar career.• Develop critical skills and areas of expertise that will help prepare you for advancement into positions across the organization.• Ensure high levels of data accuracy, completeness and coverage.• Meet the predetermined production deadlines for internal and external clients.
Requirements: • Native in French and German,fluent English is mandatory.• A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.• Solid understanding of the financial industry and passionate in investment data.• Excellent writing, communication, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.• Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of handling high volumes of data and meeting strict deadlines.• Expertise in data, methodology, quality and processes.• Ability to adapt well to different situations and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
