About your role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Data Science Intern to join our AI team and contribute to the improvement of our products. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work with real-world AI data, directly impacting the user experience and the efficiency of our AI systems. 

You will be involved in analyzing customer feedback, identifying areas for enhancement, optimizing our data collection processes, and building automated workflows to streamline our data science operations. Candidates will work across engineering, data, and product teams,  ensuring that data has high utility, quality, diversity, and volume.

Reports to: Principal Product Manager
Location: Remote, but you must be located in the UK during the internship
Duration: June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025, working 37.5 hours per week

How you will make a difference day to day

  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze large datasets of customer feedback to identify key trends, user pain points, and areas where the chatbot can be improved
    • Develop metrics and dashboards to monitor chatbot performance and track the impact of implemented changes
    • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover valuable insights from interactions
    • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable improvement areas for our AI product
  • Data Pipeline Improvement:
    • Assist in evaluating and improving our existing data pipelines for collecting and storing data
    • Contribute to the design and implementation of more efficient and reliable data ingestion processes
    • Work with different data sources and formats to ensure data quality and consistency
  • Automated Workflow Creation:
    • Develop and implement automated workflows for data processing, analysis, and reporting using scripting languages
    • Explore opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve the efficiency of our data team
    • Contribute to the development of tools and scripts to support the team's data collection activities

What you’ll need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: R, Python, and SQL
  • Familiarity with database systems and SQL for querying and manipulating data
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills  
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with a willingness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing

A plus if you have:

  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and/or R is a plus
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, specific work location, and performance during the interview process.
