What you'll do

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be supporting the Cloud and DevOps team build a new hosting platform in AWS, as well as supporting the migration of our services from private cloud to public cloud.

You’ll also be:

  • Demonstrating how to measure, understand and visualise the flow and delivery of value through adopting DevOps tools, techniques and processes
  • Working with teams across the bank to improve the platform
  • Providing feedback that builds on policies, standards, practices and associated DevOps tooling
  • Making sure decisions made are based on robust data, return on investment and value measures that demonstrate thoughtful and intelligent cost management
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience in Infrastructure as Code, as well as a solid understanding of Software Development and automation scripting such as Python or Shell.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Proficiency with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge and experience in AWS hosting and services
  • A solid understanding of programming languages, preferably Java Spring boot
  • Demonstratable CI/CD experience preferably using Gitlab
  • Experience with Observability tooling such as Grafana Loki, Tempo, Mimir and Prometheus
