Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of human rights sourcing strategies across all east regions, aligned with global regulations such as CS3D, Modern Slavery Acts, and voluntary frameworks.
- Engage externally with NGOs and government in partnership with Government Affairs team to conduct assessments, audits, and execute remediation programs where necessary.
- Conduct risk assessments and review audits/certifications to identify potential human rights issues in our supply chain .
- Conduct risk mapping, zoning, and supplier segmentation across key commodities and sourcing regions in the East region to prioritize actions in high-risk geographies .
- Collaborate directly with suppliers & growers to implement all required audits, reports and remediation efforts when needed , including site (factory , farm, upstream sites) visits.
- Partner with procurement and the legal team to embed responsible sourcing clauses and compliance requirements in supplier contracts.
- Report all internal and external KPI data to the global sustainability team
- Navigate complex legislative and regulatory landscapes across the East region to enable informed business decisions and maximize social impact.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including NGOs, suppliers, and industry associations, staying informed about emerging issues and best practices.
- Develop and maintain industry relationships with other brands to drive collective action via coalitions, in collaboration with government affairs.
- Provide training and capacity-building programs for suppliers and internal stakeholders on responsible sourcing requirements and best practices.
- Coordinate with and enable relevant teams to deliver the Kraft Heinz Responsible Sourcing commitments in alignment with evolving priorities within the Global Sustainability Strategy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in positive procurement, value creation, internal and external engagement, innovation, supplier collaboration, third-party partnerships, and internal collaboration.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in program management, sustainability, human rights, political science or cross-functional senior stakeholder roles.
- Strong ability to provide practical solutions for due diligence, risk prevention, remediation, and to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
- Sustainability professional with strong program management and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with procurement teams to integrate responsible sourcing principles into purchasing decisions and contracts.
- Good knowledge of FMCG and procurement sustainability, including processes, tools, and competencies.
- Experience working across international markets and cultures, ideally within the East region.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting, NGO landscape, global legislation, industry trends, and consumer trends relevant to responsible sourcing.
- Ability to develop initiatives that support the company and procurement strategy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills in both English and Arabic.
- Strong organizational agility and ability to navigate formal and informal channels.
- Proven ability to build trust and effective business relationships.
- Strong analytical, deductive reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate multiple perspectives and project their impacts into the future.
