About this role

EMEA Head of Commercialization – Citi Portfolio Solutions powered by BlackRock (CxB)

Team Overview

Citi Portfolio Solutions Powered by BlackRock (CxB) combines the strategic advisory of a leading global bank with the investment management and technology strengths of one of the world’s preeminent asset managers. As investor appetite grows for custom built, whole portfolio solutions, BlackRock continues to invest in our global investment platform to stay at the forefront of clients’ evolving needs.

Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) are poised to be a critical growth engine for discretionary wealth in EMEA, and this MD/Director role will be responsible for driving adoption, scale, and sustained commercialization of CxB.  The EMEA Head of CxB Commercialization is a senior regional leadership role responsible for driving adoption, scale, and sustained commercialization of Citi Portfolio Solutions powered by BlackRock (CxB). The role partners closely with Citi to embed portfolio- and outcomes-led client conversations, with an initial focus on SMAs. This position serves as the primary point of orchestration across Citi and BlackRock stakeholders to ensure consistent execution and scalable growth. As we continue to integrate Citi Portfolio Solutions into BlackRock, the ideal candidate will play a critically important connector role between Citi and our growing SMA business internationally, to drive consistent execution and scalable growth.

The role will report into Global Head of CxB and will manage a core team responsible for sales enablement and SMA specialists, in partnership with our Head of UK Banks within the EMEA Client Business.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the EMEA commercialization strategy for CxB, translating global priorities into executable regional plans.
  • Work with BLK regional leadership to help translate CxB SMA capabilities into a broader regional DPM strategy.
  • Act as BlackRock’s primary regional interface with EMEA Citi stakeholders across coverage, product, platform, compliance, and leadership.
  • Define and institutionalize regional coverage, engagement, and escalation models across the full client lifecycle.
  • Codify and own the “Why SMA / Why CxB” narrative to shift banker behavior from product-led to portfolio- and outcomes-led engagement.
  • Lead banker and investment counselor education through training programs, deep dives, and case studies.
  • Drive campaign-based execution discipline with clear visibility into pipeline, adoption, and conversion metrics.
  • Be accountable for delivering regional commercial outcomes and growth objectives.
  • Build and execute a 12-month commercialization roadmap, including materials, training cadence, and governance.
  • Partner with global and peer regional teams to ensure alignment and leverage shared capabilities.

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience

  • Extensive experience with UHNW/HNW discretionary portfolios and client solutions.
  • Proven SMA or DPM commercialization experience with evidence of scaled adoption.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with execution discipline.  Strategic mindset combined with hands-on delivery capability.
