8x8 is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Events Manager who will work on amplifying our brand and developing the sales pipeline through event marketing strategy in the UK and Europe. As an Events Manager, you’ll be responsible for working with our internal teams, industry organisations, and external vendors to define and deliver the EMEA event strategy to drive pipeline and revenue and offer creative experiences to boost our brand profile. You would be responsible for organising and managing our presence at trade shows as well as our own-hosted events. You would also own our webinar strategy and execution.
What you'll do:

  • Close collaboration with management, marketing and sales to bring together best-in-class execution of proprietary and industry events for the company.

  • Develop and execute an integrated plan for attendance at each event which includes internal and partner orchestration, booth design and overall onsite experience, pre- and post-event interactions.

  • Vendor sourcing and management as well as facilities management, audio-visual, room layouts and design.

  • Contracting, negotiations, and compliance, ensuring we map to event budgets and financials.

  • Collaborate on and contribute to developing the overall event experience as a reflection of the 8x8 brand. Understand 8x8’s brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging at events.

  • Effectively manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and internal teams to support flawless execution of events.

  • Partner and collaborate with the demand generation, branding, and social marketing teams around event promotion.

  • Organise and manage the marketing events calendar

  • Gather and track ROI, engagement analytics and feedback to consistently assess opportunities for improvement.

  • Effectively manage large budgets and be a good negotiator.

  • Bring energy, creativity, and new ideas to build a successful event experience.

  • Willingness and excitement to travel approximately 15-20%.

What you'll bring:

  • Ability to think strategically as it pertains to events program development and execution but can also perform tactical duties as required. 

  • Solid understanding of event marketing, management and logistics.

  • Commercially-savvy. Understands ROI.

  • 3+ years of event management and planning experience, including experience working in a SaaS or B2B technology company.

  • Effective communicator - both verbal and written - with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience managing and delivering against multiple projects simultaneously in a very fast-moving environment.

  • Creative and innovative with an ‘out of the box’ mindset.

  • Self-motivated, proactive contributor.

  • Extremely organised with great attention to detail.

  • Flexibility – the ability to think on your feet.

  • Appreciation for how event tech can aid more productive event management.
