EMEA PR Manager
Job Description
Join our dynamic communications team as the EMEA PR Manager and drive positive brand perception across the region. In this critical role, you'll lead our PR efforts, humanizing the SUSE brand and positioning us as a leader in open innovation, digital sovereignty, security, AI and the latest tech trends. One of the main objectives is increasing brand awareness in our most commercially impactful markets, with a focus on the UK, Germany, and France.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Planning & Execution: Create and own the PR plans for EMEA, working with internal stakeholders and a global PR agency to shift perception and reach key audiences including customers, partners, employees, and open-source communities. Proactively identify trends and newsjacking opportunities to increase awareness.
Media & Influencer Relations: Build and manage high-value relationships with media and key influencers, focusing on top-tier media to ensure key messages are amplified in resulting coverage. Act as a creative and fun voice for the brand, ensuring alignment while also capitalizing on opportunities to join conversations on social media and speak at events.
Content Creation & Storytelling: Draft and update communications materials, including press releases and pitch trends, to distill meaningful stories from senior stakeholders and subject matter experts. Address any misconceptions or prepare crisis responses to negative stories in the media.
Agency Management: Oversee PR agencies in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and other key markets on a project basis.
Stakeholder Management: Build and manage key relationships with senior stakeholders and coordinate seamlessly with the broader communications and marketing teams.
Event & Program Management: Create and manage media programs at events like SUSECON. Monitor and report results to adjust PR strategies accordingly and maintain effective feedback loops with stakeholders.
What You'll Bring:
Experience: Proven experience in a similar PR role, with a track record of creating impactful thought leadership strategies and driving brand awareness.
Skills: Strong relationships with media and influencers. The ability to create compelling communications materials and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Language: Fluency in both German and English is a must, with French language skills as a bonus.
Location: The role requires you to be based in either Germany or the United Kingdom.
