As an Engineer II - Design & Analysis, you will interpret customer technical requirements to design and deliver products that align with Greene Tweed's material capabilities and manufacturing processes. This role requires collaboration with customers, commercial teams, and operations staff. You'll provide technical support, respond to inquiries, recommend materials, and serve as a key resource in product development

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, manufacturing, and quality departments, including site visits where necessary

Recommend materials based on application criteria and evaluate specifications for alignment with Greene Tweed's capabilities

Generate and approve design proposals, ensuring compatibility with customer requirements and internal capabilities

Oversee model accuracy, design documentation, drafting standards, and testing requirements for production drawings

Conduct design analysis on components and assemblies, applying engineering principles to advance product/material/manufacturing capabilities

Define and validate testing methods for product quality assurance and communicate testing results effectively

Maintain awareness of customer and industry technical requirements and assess the business impact of technical decisions

Support cross-functional execution of corporate and engineering objectives while coordinating design efforts across departments

Analyse returned products to determine failure modes, recommend improvements, and advise on design changes

Provide disposition of finished products submitted to the Material Review Board

Develop work instructions aligned with industry standards and customer requirements

Represent Greene, Tweed in technical meetings and committees to influence material and parts specifications

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications: Bachelors of Science in Engineering or appropriate technical field

Skills and Experience:

 3-6 Years in an engineering or design environment
 Experience using 3D CAD software; experience FEA systems Preferred
 Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office
 Ability to work in cross-functional team environment
 Effective communication skills with internal and external customers
 Experience in Polymer, Plastics, Elastomer design/manufacturing preferred
 Basic understanding of Lean 6 Sigma Principles (White Belt preferred)
