The Fire Suppression Engineer will manage certification processes, project planning, testing coordination, and customer engagement, ensuring compliance and documentation in safety engineering.
JOB DESCRIPTION
From our Dutch Office in Arnhem, we offer CE marking for the Construction Product Regulation, Machine Directive, Marine Equipment Directive and Personal Protection Equipment Regulation. As a notified body and technical assessment body, we can also offer the European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA) route.
As a "Fire Suppression (EN-Services & CE-Marking)" Engineer, you can expect a wide range of tasks in a growing, safe industry to make the world of tomorrow even safer.
What is it all about ?
Depending on the product category, many manufacturers can or must provide proof of certain tests or certifications for their products in order to be able to sell them on the global market. And this is precisely where we support our customers by allowing them to certify their products with us. The certification processes are very complex, depending on the requirements, and require not only the expertise of our engineers but also the ability to adapt to all possible technical, organizational and human situations in order to offer our customers the best possible service.
In the area of Fire Suppression, we are expanding our portfolio with a focus on the EU market in which the "EN Services" cover an important part.
The position Project Engineer "Fire Suppression (EN-Services & CE-Marking)" includes the scope of EN certifications with the specific, additional option of CE marking.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What are your new tasks? Here is an overview:
Are you an organizational talent, do you like to work in a structured way, are you familiar with project work and can quickly find optional solutions? Then this is the job for you!
Questioning: It is important to us that our engineers objectively scrutinize and check the relevance of all requests and steps throughout the project.
Provide support in the preparation of quotations: As an expert, you determine the necessary steps so that Sales can offer these to our customers.
Creating project plans, including reporting: As a project engineer, you know that good and precise planning is the key to success. Regular, condensed reporting to management is part of this.
Planning of tests in internal/external laboratories: Coordination with our worldwide laboratories is required for the necessary tests.
Regular review and adherence to planned time frames: Projects are always time-bound for us. Of course, who likes to wait for their work! That's why each of our engineers is fully responsible for their deadlines. You could say that structure and order are the be-all and end-all in this job.
Plan and carry out tests with customers (witness test): Some tests cannot be carried out in our own laboratories. Our engineers travel to customers or external laboratories to carry out the tests on site. Therefore, business trips are also part of the job.
Creating the necessary documentation: For us too, no project is complete without the necessary documentation! Especially as a certifier, our documents must be complete, up-to-date and correct. You've come to the right place if that's your thing!
Supporting management: e.g. with audits in the form of e.g. data revision, identifying potential for improvement, drawing up training plans, later mentoring new colleagues.
Expand customer contact and network with customers: In order to offer our customers the best possible service, "networking" is part of the job. As an expert, this is a matter of course for you.
