Help Build the Networks That Keep People Connected

Purpose

Join our Network & IP Engineering team and help deliver the connectivity that underpins critical media, telecommunications and data services. You'll work within a supportive and collaborative engineering environment to design, develop, maintain and continuously improve network infrastructure that enables our business and customers to stay connected.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of technologies while developing your technical expertise, contributing to meaningful projects, and helping shape the future of our network capabilities.

Location

Crawley Court (Winchester), Emley Moor (Huddersfield), Newman Street (London)

  • Up to £53,800 base salary.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Network & IP Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists to support, improve and evolve our network infrastructure.

You'll:

  • Design, implement and operate network and IP infrastructure including LAN, WAN, microwave radio, telecommunications and VSAT technologies.
  • Work collaboratively to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring reliable service delivery.
  • Install, deploy and configure network hardware and software solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, analyse data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in testing, validation and continuous improvement activities to maintain high-quality services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and share knowledge with colleagues across the business.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient and secure network services.
  • Contribute to network upgrade, maintenance and transformation projects.
  • Support project planning and delivery activities, helping teams achieve shared outcomes.
  • Embed a security-first and secure-by-design mindset in everything you do.
  • Continuously develop your skills through training, mentoring and hands-on experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of network and IP technologies, infrastructure and protocols.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and enthusiasm for innovation.

Experience & Knowledge

We'd particularly like to hear from candidates with experience in some of the following areas:

  • Network engineering, telecommunications or related technical disciplines.
  • Networking technologies including routing, switching, LAN and WAN environments.
  • Network security principles and best practices.
  • Collaborative project delivery and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Agile ways of working (beneficial but not essential).
  • Automation (Python/Ansible/NetOps),One or more in the Intent based networking and Cisco Networking Equipment (desirable but not essential).

Qualifications
