.NET Software Developer – Semiconductor Product Evaluation
Job Description
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic .NET Software Developer to join our dynamic desktop development team specializing in delivering current and next gen evaluation software for Analog Devices’ extensive semiconductor product portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced developers on challenging projects, across a wide range of product portfolios and learn new technologies. The successful candidate will help define and deliver desktop software tooling for product evaluation to support Analog’s existing and growing product portfolio.
The successful candidate will have good technical experience and proficiency in .NET software development or similar technologies. A background in embedded software development or electronics / electrical engineering is an advantage as this position will involve requirements gathering and software development targeting a variety of embedded hardware platforms. Some embedded development may be required but the focus of this role is in developing the desktop evaluation platform and plug-in software to enable customer evaluation of Analog Devices products.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable .NET code for a legacy Windows application as well as cross platform .NET desktop applications
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and ship new features
· Collaborate with cross functional product applications teams to define plug-in software requirements and hardware protocol definitions to enable full functionality in evaluation software
· Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance
· Help maintain code quality, organization and automation
· Participate in code reviews to maintain a high-quality code culture
· Unit, system, and hardware testing to ensure code quality
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, Information Technology / Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
· Knowledge of .NET technologies and programming languages, C# experience is preferred but equivalent object-oriented experience will be considered
· Familiarity with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or similar desktop application development platforms is beneficial as well as an understanding of programming design patterns like MVVM
· Understanding of object-oriented programming and clean coding principles
· Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
· Electronic or Electrical engineering background and a knowledge of hardware communication protocols / FPGA or Firmware development etc. a major advantage for success in this role
Nice to Have
· Experience with unit testing frameworks like NUnit, XUnit, etc
· Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum
