At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEM’s in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery. Bosch Rexroth is one of the world’s leading specialists in the field of drive and control technologies. Under the brand name of Rexroth the company supplies customers with tailored solutions for driving, controlling and moving industrial applications, factory automation equipment, mobile applications and renewable power generation

The apprenticeship will involve various rotations across the machining, manufacturing and engineering areas of the Glenrothes plant.  Gaining a broad range and valuable experience across the relevant areas of the business.  We are looking for talented individuals with a genuine interest in a large engineering business.

Job Description

  • Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and to follow instructions.
  • Ability to approach problems logically.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation both verbally and written.
  • Drive your own development and complete all training modules successfully and in a timely manner with the support of external auditors.
  • Develop a full understanding of all metrology and tooling used to support production.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and documentations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 National Five Qualifications at Level 4 or above.
  • Mandatory subject qualifications are English, Maths, a Science and technical related subjects including Graphic Communication / Physics. 
  • Applicants with a relevant NC qualification of Intermediate 2 Maths plus one Higher (Science/Technical related subject at a Grade C or above may be considered).
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and to follow instructions.
  • Ability to approach problems logically.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation both verbally and written.
  • Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering or Scientific Technology would be advantageous.
